TRANSPORTATION
Victoria, British Columbia

Travel Advisory

For most of our students it is recommended that you book air travel directly to Victoria, BC. Then a shuttle bus to the hotel or University of Victoria Housing Centre. If you are coming via Seattle, there are many scenic routes to downtown Victoria. The two most recommended ways are by chopper or the Victoria Clipper. The Clipper docks a short walking distance from the hotel. Kenmore Air, a float plane service as well as the Helijet all land in the Inner Harbour. The Blackball ferry "Coho" docks directly in the Inner Harbour and is the recommended route if you're driving from the western states. It connects at Port Angeles, Washington.

Travel Advisory.

Instrument cases.

Check with your airline if you intend to fly with instruments. We understand that Delta Airlines now has an issue with violin and viola cases as carry-on luggage. You may wish to avoid them.

Medical insurance.

You may wish to check with your healthcare insurer to see what coverage you have out-of-state or out-of-country.
Short-term coverage is generally available everywhere for a minimal cost. Often credit cards will cover your medical on short trips.
